I did it!

So, I finally did it, I created my own blog space! For some time now I have wanted to share my journey through motherhood. Being a mom can be so difficult. My life has been a fog of diaper changes, laundry, thrown food, missed showers and toddler talk. I went from living for myself to living for… literally, everyone else. This was a huge transformation in and of itself, but coupled with my exit from the Army: well, to say I had no idea who I was anymore, is an understatement.

Approximately how many mothers are there on this planet? Billions. Approximately billions. So why do we seem to go through it alone? Why do we feel judged? Not good enough? Lonely… Motherhood is a tough and tricky business. Don’t get me wrong, it is a beautiful business and I have never had so much meaning in my life until I became a mom. I KNOW this is what God has called me to do. I cherish every second, even the ones I want to pull my hair out.

I have been blessed with the opportunity to be a full-time mom. My husband works hard and sacrifices for our family every day in Korea so we can have the life we have together. The separation is hard. Juggling a two-month-old baby (who is now one), and an eighteen-month-old son (now two), was impossible! I don’t know what our family would look like without God, our church, friends, and family. I’ve spent this year figuring out our family and where we want to go. Now, I want to share my experiences with home management, mothering, homeschooling, and balancing life.

Every day I hope to share something about us with you. Because we are not in this alone. We need each other to laugh through difficult times (or cry), to lift each other up, to inspire each other to conquer our goals, and to help each other along the beautiful journey through motherhood.
